Discovery Wins Over Two More Wall Street Analysts for Upgrades<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Add Wells Fargo and Wolfe Research analysts to the growing list of Wall Street experts who have turned bullish on Warner Bros. Discovery. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Last April saw the creation of the merged Warner Bros. Discovery followed by various cost-cutting challenges for the management team led by CEO David Zaslav, causing a sharp drop in the stock. This year, however, has seen the likes of Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and Guggenheim Securities upgrade their ratings on the entertainment conglomerate\u2019s shares. And management\u2019s focus on free cash flow, debt reduction and reducing losses in the streaming business with an eye on turning it profitable has had various Wall Street experts raise their Warner Bros. Discovery stock price targets. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Wolfe\u2019s Peter Supino joined the parade of WBD bulls on Friday, upgrading the stock from \u201cpeer perform\u201d to \u201coutperform\u201d and setting a price target of $20, after previously listing it as NA for \u201cnot <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>licable,\u201d in a report entitled \u201cFinding Their Sea Legs.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Why the upgrade now? \u201cAlmost a year post-merger, guidance and the stock are lower, while internal visibility is higher,\u201d the analyst explained, echoing others\u2019 recent commentary that the company had put the worst behind it and was turning a corner. \u201cWe expect\u00a0execution, free cash flow generation and debt-to-equity value transfer to improve\u00a0from here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    While traditional TV networks units are being hit by Hollywood\u2019s streaming pivot, investors may be too bearish on WBD\u2019s outlook here, the Wolfe expert also suggested, sharing: \u201cWe\u2019re bearish on the linear pay-TV outlook, but the (company\u2019s) networks generate lots of cash and will for many years.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Arguing that \u201cthe skeletons in Warner\u2019s closet have been accounted for,\u201d Supino concluded: \u201cAfter a \u201922 rife with negative surprises around the Warner-Discovery integration and TV advertising market, and after two rounds of forecast reductions, today\u2019s expectations are attractive to underwrite.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Meanwhile, Wells Fargo\u2019s Steven Cahall upgraded his WBD rating from \u201cequal weight\u201d to \u201coverweight\u201d on Friday, while boosting his stock price target by $7 to $20.
