While few details about the incident are known, authorities have been investigating the incident as a possible suicide. But was that actually the case? Several people close to Jeff have come forward to cast doubt on the potential cause of death following the tragedy \u2014 including his agent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Debbie Collier\u2019s Horrifying Autopsy Report Revealed \u2014 This Was Ruled A Suicide?<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Speaking to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11872599\/Model-Jeff-Thomas-died-falling-tower-taking-SELFIE-agent-claims.html\"><em>DailyMail.com<\/em><\/a> on Friday, <strong>Luli Batista<\/strong> of <strong>The Sovereign Talent Group<\/strong> explained how she doesn\u2019t think he would have died by suicide. In fact, she believes the whole thing was a nothing more than a tragic accident! Luli told the outlet that Jeff may have passed away while trying to take a selfie on his balcony, saying:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6414be34cbc03-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI just can\u2019t believe it\u2019s true that he intentionally did this. He may have fallen while he was taking a selfie.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>WHAT?! The man did take a LOT of selfies\u2026 Not that you could blame him. Is it possible he was just trying to get that perfect angle and\u00a0<em>fell<\/em> over the side? So sad if true\u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>As for why she\u2019s having a hard time believing the suspected cause of death? Luli recalled that the last time the pair spoke was over text about an upcoming audition less than 24 hours before his sudden death:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6414be34cbc07-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe were talking about a funny audition that I had for him that involved some type of petty fight. We laughed about it and he told me how he is a co<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>n at heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It sounds like he really wanted to do it! She also noted that he seemed \u201cexcited\u201d about the next chapter in his life, and they even had another call scheduled to catch up for that Friday:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cHe couldn\u2019t wait to tell me about his move to Miami. He seemed thrilled and was proud of himself. He was happy, motivated and excited for his next step just loving life. I am so stunned. He was such a beautiful and sweet boy.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6414be34cbc0b-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The agent isn\u2019t the only one who isn\u2019t buying that Jeff intentionally took his own life. His cousin, <strong>Meghan Rae<\/strong>, also insisted to the outlet that is not what happened:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis was not a suicide. To report otherwise is a complete disregard to his character and who he was. The information being published is false and defamatory. No further comments will be made by our family. Please respect our privacy and his memory during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>However, not everyone in the family wants to remain silent \u2014 and not everyone is questioning the manner of death. Jeff\u2019s brother<strong> Skylar Ray Thomas<\/strong> suggested on Monday that the <strong>One Popsicle<\/strong> founder died by suicide after struggling \u201cwith addiction and mental health challenges\u201d over the years. He wrote on <strong>Facebook<\/strong> at the time:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6414be34cbc0f-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAs you have followed through the years, Jeff <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>ed the world and lived life to the fullest. What you may not know, is Jeff struggled with addiction and mental health challenges, which ultimately led to his tragic passing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Skyler continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWhile Jeff\u2019s struggles were difficult, we want to remember him for the kind and caring person he was. He had a contagious sense of humor, a love for music, art and family, and a passion for helping others.
