She reportedly insisted on adding language that said all records had been returned \u201cbased upon the information that has been provided to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The Trump campaign dismissed the move as interference with the right to an attorney and attacked Howell, an Obama <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ointee whose decision comes as she is stepping down as chief judge.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhenever prosecutors target the attorneys, that\u2019s usually a good indication their underlying case is very weak. If they had a real case, they wouldn\u2019t need to play corrupt <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s with the Constitution. Every American has the right to consult with counsel and have candid discussions \u2014 this promotes adherence to the law. We will fight the Department of Justice on this front and all others that jeopardize fundamental American rights and values,\u201d a Trump spokesperson said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInterfering with Americans\u2019 right to an attorney is a serious and weighty matter. For a judge to do so in violation of due process, without allowing for any real hearing, and within a few hours of her expiration date \u2013 as chief judge supervising the grand jury \u2013 is unAmerican and unacceptable.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr3_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The remarkable decision from Howell, however, indicates prosecutors were able to supply sufficient evidence that Corcoran\u2019s behavior meets the threshold for the crime-fraud exception, opening the door to a second interview.<\/p>\n<p>Corcoran has already appeared before the grand jury in the case, but declined to answer numerous questions, citing attorney-client privilege.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not the first time a judge has found one of Trump\u2019s attorneys may have violated the law in the course of giving legal advice.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr4_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>A California-based federal judge determined in March last year\u00a0that John Eastman and Trump more likely than not committed crimes in their effort to keep the former president in power.<\/p>\n<p>Eastman crafted memos for the Trump campaign arguing that then-Vice President Pence could buck his duty to certify the election results.<\/p>\n<p>He is now facing disciplinary action from the California State Bar that could result in the loss of his law license.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr5_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p><em>Updated at 4:37 p.m.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Copyright 2023 Nexstar Media Inc.
