\n It app<\/a>ears that there is a reason why Chris Evans has yet to make his Saturday Night Live<\/em> hosting debut.<\/p>\n

\n During an ET Canada<\/em> interview<\/a> that published Tuesday with Evans and Ana de Armas discussing their upcoming action comedy Ghosted<\/em>, the conversation turned to the fact that the Blonde<\/em> actress will mark her first time leading SNL<\/em> with its upcoming April 15 episode. When asked if he would be up for a cameo in the episode that features Karol G as the musical guest, Evans made it clear that a brief appearance would be far more appealing to him than actually hosting the NBC sketch comedy series<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n \u201cWell, now a cameo I can handle,\u201d Evans replied. \u201cI\u2019ve avoided hosting SNL<\/em> like the plague for years now just because I\u2019m so scared. It\u2019s terrifying to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n The Avengers<\/em> actor, who had a breakout role in the 2001 comedy Not Another Teen Movie<\/em>, explained that he assumes he would battle anxiety while hosting SNL<\/em>. \u201cA cameo sounds great \u2014 that\u2019s perfect,\u201d Evans said. \u201cBut hosting, I tip my hat to her. She\u2019s going to be amazing. But it would provide a lot of sleepless nights for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Later in the interview, Evans admitted that his concerns may stem from the star previously feeling self-conscious about his ability to get a laugh. \u201cMaybe I only feel that because I have very, very funny friends who once told me I\u2019m not a funny person,\u201d he said. \u201cIt would just be an everyday anxiety, constant regret: \u2018Why did I do this? I could have been comfortable at my house, in my bed, not worrying about this.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Evans and de Armas, who were also both in 2019\u2019s Knives Out<\/em> and last year\u2019s The Gray Man<\/em>, star in Ghosted<\/em> as a couple who bond during a date before realizing there is a lot they don\u2019t know about each other, given that de Armas\u2019 character is actually a secret agent. The film hits Apple TV+ on April 21.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
