fire weather in New Mexico, other states<\/a><\/li><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-2'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-3\" href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/20-million-people-under-a-severe-weather-threat-hail-thunderstorms-tornadoes-possible\/#More_winter_weather_amid_flood_warnings_in_Minnesota\" >More winter weather amid flood warnings in Minnesota<\/a><\/li><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-2'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-4\" href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/20-million-people-under-a-severe-weather-threat-hail-thunderstorms-tornadoes-possible\/#National_weather_radar\" >National weather radar<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n<p>About 20 million people were\u00a0at risk of severe weather\u00a0Wednesday when\u00a0storms capable of spawning tornadoes could<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/en\/severe-weather\/multiday-us-severe-weather-threat-to-continue-into-this-weekend\/1514082\">\u00a0<\/a>stir up\u00a0the central U.S., <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/en\/severe-weather\/multiday-us-severe-weather-threat-to-continue-into-this-weekend\/1514082\">forecasters said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The system in the Plains is\u00a0a\u00a0continuation of turbulent weather hitting the region throughout the week, ranging from red flag warnings to thunderstorms and gusty winds.<\/p>\n<p>The threat of severe weather will continue to move north toward\u00a0the Great Lakes area later this week, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/en\/severe-weather\/multiday-us-severe-weather-threat-to-continue-into-this-weekend\/1514082\">according to AccuWeather<\/a>, threatening\u00a0millions more with volatile spring weather.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what to know about the national weather forecast for Wednesday:<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"presto-h2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Severe_thunderstorms_tornadoes_possible_in_the_Plains\"><\/span>Severe thunderstorms, tornadoes possible in the Plains<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The potential for severe weather exists for a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov\/discussions\/hpcdiscussions.php?disc=pmdspd\">wide swath of the Plains on Wednesday<\/a>, and\u00a0the risk will increase\u00a0through the course of the day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Large hail and high winds are the greatest potential, though an isolated tornado or two remain possible, with highest potential across central Kansas,&#8221; the National Weather Service said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The risk of severe weather will range as far south as Dallas to as north as southwest Wisconsin. A moderate risk will be in place in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Central and eastern Kansas<\/li>\n<li>Northwest Missouri<\/li>\n<li>Southeast Nebraska<\/li>\n<li>Central and southern Iowa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Major cities including Kansas City, Missouri;\u00a0Des Moines, Iowa;\u00a0Omaha, Nebraska; and\u00a0Topeka, Kansas, are among the locations at moderate risk.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;An extra surge of moisture and warm air will contribute to a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms with the potential for large hail and isolated tornadoes from eastern Kansas to near the Iowa borders of Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois on Wednesday,&#8221; said Guy Pearson,\u00a0AccuWeather director of weather warning services.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"presto-h2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%98Critical_fire_weather_in_New_Mexico_other_states\"><\/span>&#8216;Critical&#8217; fire weather in New Mexico, other states<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>High winds are once again a concern of residents in the southern Plains on Wednesday. Another round of red-flag warnings were issued as strengthening winds and dry conditions increase the fire risk.<\/p>\n<p>All of New Mexico will have &#8220;critical&#8221;\u00a0fire weather through Thursday, and\u00a0wind gusts Wednesday are expected to reach 50 mph.
