margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            The ACLU\u2019s action comes as Foreman faces a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/afroman-police-raid-lawsuit-254f3fe51d53b503a30416f0794fddc0%22\">lawsuit<\/a> brought by Ohio police officers who raided his home in August on suspicion of drug trafficking and kidn<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ing, found no incriminating evidence, and felt humiliated when the Palmdale, California-born rapper used security camera footage from the raid in several music videos promoting his album <i>Lemon Pound Cake<\/i>, released the following month. The most viral of these clips is the one for the record\u2019s eponymous track, in which Officer Shawn D. Cooley \u2014 a former candidate for Adams County Sheriff and the lead plaintiff in the case \u2014 appears to glance longingly at the titular pastry, displayed in a glass case in Foreman\u2019s kitchen, and at a pornographic magazine lying on the counter nearby.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"content_block paragraph triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-245641\" class=\"content_block paragraph video triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"media_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"video_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\" style=\"padding-top: 56.25%;\">\n<p>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Afroman - Lemon Pound Cake (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9xxK5yyecRo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n \/\/trackYouTubeVideo('245641');\n<\/script><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n<\/style>\n<div id=\"content_block-245642\" class=\"content_block paragraph text triple_gutter_right triple_gutter_left center_align\">\n<div class=\"content_inner_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"paragraph_wrapper center_align\">\n<p>            On the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.acluohio.org\/en\/cases\/cooley-v-foreman-aka-afroman-amicus\">web page summarizing their brief<\/a>, the ACLU write that Cooley and his co-plaintiffs are \u201calleging various torts in connection with the use of their images from the security footage\u201d and demanding \u201cdamages from Mr. Foreman, as well as an injunction to stop speaking about and using images of them.\u201d In the brief itself, they refer to the case as \u201ca classic entry into the SLAPP suit genre: a meritless effort to use a lawsuit to silence criticism. And not just any criticism, but criticism specifically of government actors.<\/p>\n<p>            \u201cPlaintiffs are a group of law enforcement officers who executed what appears to have been a highly destructive and ultimately fruitless search of a popular musician\u2019s home,\u201d the brief continues. \u201cNow they find themselves at the receiving end of his mockery and outrage, expressed through a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of music videos about the search, as well as spinoff merchandise and social media commentary. They ask this Court not only to award them damages, but to order him to stop speaking about them. At the granular level, the Complaint is an attempt to shoehorn the facts into a series of torts meant for purposes other than Plaintiffs\u2019, and it fails simply because it does not provide allegations that could fulfill the requisite elements of any claim. Conceptually, their allegations run afoul of a much deeper principle: There is nothing the First Amendment protects more jealously [<i>sic<\/i>] than criticism of public officials on a matter of public concern.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            Afroman has expressed little interest in allowing the Adams County Sheriff\u2019s Department to stop him from exercising his First Amendment rights.
