The bloc yesterday released a list of companies that must adhere to<span> the strictest rules of the landmark Digital Services Act (DSA).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The 17 platforms and two search engines <span>reach at least 45 million monthly active users. All of them have four months to comply with the full obligations of the DSA. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The services are now mandated to mitigate their systemic risks and establish robust content moderation (this means you, Elon). They range from banning ads that target sensitive user data to special risk assessments for mental health impacts. V<\/span><span>iolations can be punished with fines of up to 6% of a company\u2019s global turnover.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to the EU, the new rules <span>are designed to empower and protect people online.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.net\/embed\/iframe\/3yishpx6ry?videoFoam=true&amp;autoPlay=true\" title=\"\" allowtransparency=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" class=\"wistia_embed\" name=\"wistia_embed\" allowfullscreen=\"\" msallowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-blockquote__body\">\u201cThe whole logic of our rules is to ensure that <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> serves people and the societies that we live in \u2014 not the other way around,\u201d said Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice-President for a Europe Fit for the Digital Age.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-blockquote__body\">\u201cThe Digital Services Act will bring about meaningful transparency and accountability of platforms and search engines and give consumers more control over their online life. The designations made today are a huge step forward to making that h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here are the 19 services that have been designated:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The online platforms<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alibaba AliExpress<\/li>\n<li>Amazon Store<\/li>\n<li>Apple AppStore<\/li>\n<li>Booking.com<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Google Play<\/li>\n<li>Google Maps<\/li>\n<li>Google Shopping<\/li>\n<li>Instagram<\/li>\n<li>LinkedIn<\/li>\n<li>Pinterest<\/li>\n<li>Snapchat<\/li>\n<li>TikTok<\/li>\n<li>Twitter<\/li>\n<li>Wikipedia<\/li>\n<li>YouTube<\/li>\n<li>Zalando<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The search engines<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>The rulings are another milestone in the EU\u2019s mission<span> to lead the world in tech regulation<\/span>.
