The 22-year-old caused an uproar last week when OnlyFans \u2014 the NSFW platform that reportedly crashed when the social<\/a>-media star joined \u2014 hyped her record-breaking $2 million payday. The backlash intensified when OnlyFans announced new restrictions, including capp<\/a>ing fan tips at $100 and pay-per-view post charges at $50, and in some countries, extending the waiting period to transfer funds from the site to a bank account to 30 days. OF veterans put the blame at Thorne\u2019s feet.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou scammed people, which in return made us look like scammers and not the hard working people we are,\u201d wrote one ticked off sex worker.<\/p>\n

OF veterans also accused Thorne of tricking paying customers by offering a $200 nude picture for purchase via the platform, causing a torrent of refund requests when it was revealed that Thorne was in fact clothed in the pic. The nude offer may have come from an imitation account, and Thorne previously stated, \u201cI\u2019m not doing nudity.\u201d Still, the creators are saying Thorne, who already had an established social-media platform \u2014 she has 23.7 million Instagram followers \u2014 ruined the fun, and funds, for lesser-known talents.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hurt you and for that I\u2019m truly sorry,\u201d wrote Thorne in part in a series<\/a> of tweets over the weekend after OnlyFans creators piled on the former Disney Channel star, blaming her for a few policy changes they say cramped their paychecks. Thorne went on to clarify her intentions: \u201cI wanted to bring attention to the site, the more people on the site the more likely of a chance to normalize the stigmas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thorne said she was trying to use her \u201cvoice\u201d and \u201cplatform\u201d to \u201cadvocate for something bigger than yourself,\u201d adding that she was joining the site to \u201cremove the stigma behind sex work,\u201d by \u201cbringing a mainstream face to it.\u201d But some sex workers aren\u2019t buying it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis would be all [fine] and dandy except for you dipped your toe in, and called it sex work,\u201d wrote one unimpressed OnlyFans creator. \u201cNot everyone is cut out for sex work,\u201d another scoffed.<\/p>\n

OnlyFans told The Post in a statement that the changes were \u201cto help prevent overspending,\u201d and \u201care not based on any one user.\u201d<\/p>\n
