Jean Carroll civil trial Tuesday, former President Trump called the verdict a \u201cdisgrace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have absolutely no idea who this woman is,\u201d Trump wrote in all capital letters on Truth <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Social<\/a> shortly after the verdict was announced. \u201cThis verdict is a disgrace \u2013 A continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time!\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The nine-member jury found that Trump did not commit rape of Carroll in the mid-1990s but did find him liable for sexual abuse. He was also ordered to pay Carroll a total of $5 million in damages.<\/p>\n<p>As a civil case, Carroll had to prove her claims of sexual battery and defamation by a preponderance of evidence. Jean Carroll case over \u2018unconstitutional silencing\u2019<br \/>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p>During the nearly two-week trial in federal court, Carroll told jurors that Trump raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in New York City during the spring of 1996.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Since Carroll first went public with the accusation in 2019, Trump has repeatedly denied the allegations and maintained he does not know her. In a 2019 interview with The Hill, Trump claimed Carroll was not his \u201ctype.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Carroll is one of several women who have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct or inappropriate behavior by Trump since he launched his 2016 presidential campaign.
