\n Prince Amukamara wants to come home. And he is confident he can help his old team.<\/p>\n

Once A Giant, Always A Giant?<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s where I started,\u201d Amukamara told the Post from Las Vegas. \u201cIt would be awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amukamara, the Giants\u2019 first-round pick in 2011, said he was blindsided by the Raiders releasing him on Monday.<\/p>\n

The Giants have lost DeAndre Baker to his legal woes and Sam Beal opted out, leaving them without an experienced cornerback opposite James Bradberry.<\/p>\n

Asked if he believes he is a starting corner, the 31-year-old Amukamara said: \u201cWithout a doubt. I don\u2019t think that just goes away. There\u2019s 64 starting corners. I think I\u2019m a top 64 corner.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is not immedia<\/a>tely known whether there is interest from the Giants. Amukamara, who has also played for the Jaguars and Bears, feels that he would be a good fit opposite Bradberry. Logan Ryan, viewed by the Giants as a safety, has been on their radar.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like we\u2019re similar corners,\u201d he said. \u201cWe both like to play bump-and-run, press.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amukamara has a Super Bowl XLVI ring from his rookie season. Now he is hoping for a second run from the Giants.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
