But things went south after he started the Tesla, the lawsuit claims.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He had his foot on the brake. He put the car into drive, took his foot off the brake, and then the car jumped forward,&#8221; Daniel Shimko, Shamsuzzaman&#8217;s attorney, told Insider, adding Shamsuzzaman went through the normal routine for starting a Tesla.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shimko explained that as soon as Shamsuzzaman took his foot off the brake, he lost control of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/markets.businessinsider.com\/news\/stocks\/kevin-oleary-tesla-cybertruck-ugly-demand-elon-musk-tsla-stock-2023-5?_gl=1*2h48hn*_ga*MzYzNDc5ODk4LjE2NzU5NzM5ODE.*_ga_E21CV80ZCZ*MTY4NDQ1MDM3NC40MjAuMS4xNjg0NDUwNTc1LjMzLjAuMA..\" data-analytics-product-module=\"body_link\">Tesla<\/a>. Even after he put his foot back on the break, the car would not stop, Shimko added. Shamsuzzaman also tried putting the car back into park but that didn&#8217;t work either.<\/p>\n<p>                          &#8220;He had to crash the car to get it to stop,&#8221; Shimko said, adding that Shamsuzzaman was able to crash the Tesla into another open parking space and avoid hitting anyone else.<\/p>\n<p>Shimko said Shamsuzzaman was not severely injured in the incident. He is seeking undetermined damages.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla did not im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely respond to Insider&#8217;s request for comment.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tesla.com\/blog\/no-unintended-acceleration-tesla-vehicles\" data-analytics-product-module=\"body_link\">Tesla<\/a> has previously denied that its vehicles experienced &#8220;unintended acceleration.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>                          The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/transportation\/2021\/01\/08\/tesla-brakes\/\" data-analytics-product-module=\"body_link\">National Highway Traffic Safety Administration<\/a> conducted an investigation into reports of accelerating Teslas, looking into more than 200 crash incidents, and concluded it was user error. Specifically, the NHTSA found Tesla drivers were mistaking the accelerator for the brake.<\/p>\n<p>However, last week Tesla said it was recalling more than 1 million of its vehicles sold in China, citing an issue with their regenerative braking system that Chinese regulators said could cause unintended acceleration.<\/p>\n<p>In February, Tesla recalled more than 326,000 cars due to a software issue that could cause the vehicles to act &#8220;unsafe&#8221; in intersections.\n                      <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
