\n The trial for former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and his three alleged co-conspirators, who are accused of ripping off donors for a border wall online fundraiser, will face trial in spring 2021, a judge ordered Monday.<\/p>\n

Bannon, along with Air Force veteran Brian Kolfage and accused fraudsters Andrew Badolato and Timothy Shea, will face a jury in Manhattan federal court starting May 24, Judge Analisa Torres ruled at a court hearing Monday.<\/p>\n

Kolfage, Badolato and Shea each pleaded not guilty in the hearing to allegedly defrauding donors of the $25 million \u201cWe Build the Wall\u201d fundraiser, which sought to raise private funds to build a border wall along the US southern border with Mexico.<\/p>\n

Each of them was released on bail and agreed to limit their travel<\/a> to certain states in the US pending the trial.<\/p>\n

Bannon had previously pleaded not guilty at his app<\/a>earance after he was arrested on Aug. 20 \u2014 and later claimed the indictment was a \u201cpolitical hit job\u201d to stop people like himself from talking about the border wall.<\/p>\n

Torres also warned the defendants that she has the ability to issue a gag order in the case after prosecutors highlighted in a letter last week that Kolfage had ranted on social media<\/a> about the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooks like I struck a nerve with the [Southern District of New York]. They hate Trump, they hate the wall, they want to do anything to destroy our credibility in the media. I\u2019ve never been shy with attacking them,\u201d Kolfage seethed in a Facebook post.<\/p>\n

\u201cIts the EXACT attorneys at the SDNY who are now attacking me, is this abuse of power to go after political opponents? is this where our country is at now?? has the legal system been fully weaponized?\u201d he added.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
