\n EXCLUSIVE<\/strong>: Skydance Television is developing an original hourlong series headlined and executive produced by Arnold Schwarzenegger in his first major foray into scripted television, I have learned.<\/p>\n

Created by \u201cScorpion\u201d creator Nick Santora, the series is said to be a global spy adventure with a father (Schwarzenegger) and daughter at the center of the story.<\/p>\n

Skydance is expected to take out the project to streamers shortly. I hear preliminary casting is underway for the role of the daughter.<\/p>\n

Santora is developing and executive producing the spy drama as part of his overall deal with Skydance Television. He also serves as executive producer\/showrunner of the studio\u2019s upcoming \u201cJack Reacher\u201d series for Amazon.<\/p>\n

Schwarzenegger executive produces the new series along with Skydance\u2019s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost; Carolyn Harris will oversee the project for the company.<\/p>\n

Schwarzenegger has a longstanding relationship with Skydance having starred in \u201cTerminator Genisys\u201d and \u201cTerminator: Dark Fate\u201d for the indie studio on the feature side, reprising his iconic role of T-800 in the latest installments of the venerable franchise.<\/p>\n

The spy drama would mark the first major scripted TV series role for the \u201cTerminator\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cTrue Lies\u201d star and former California governor. On the unscripted side, he did a one-season stint as the star and executive producer of NBC\u2019s \u201cThe Celebrity Apprentice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most recently seen in \u201cTerminator: Dark Fate,\u201d Schwarzenegger stars in the upcoming \u201cKung Fury II: The Movie\u201d and is attached to reprise his role opposite Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy in the \u201cTwins\u201d sequel \u201cTrip<\/a>lets,\u201d which is in development. Schwarzenegger is repped by UTA and attorney Patrick Knapp.<\/p>\n

Santora currently serves as EP\/showrunner on Amazon Prime\u2019s upcoming series \u201cJack Reacher,\u201d based on Lee Child\u2019s bestselling book series, produced by Amazon Studios, Skydance TV and Paramount TV Studios. Santora is also currently an executive producer\/showrunner on \u201cMost Dangerous Game<\/a>\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cThe Fugitive\u201d\u00a0(both for Quibi).<\/p>\n

Santora is best known for creating and exec producer\/showrunning \u201cScorpion,\u201d which aired for four seasons on CBS, as well as co-creating and exec producing \u201cBreakout Kings\u201d on A&E. His series credits also include \u201cPrison Break,\u201d \u201cThe Sopranos,\u201d \u201cLaw & Order,\u201d \u201cThe Guardian\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cLie to Me.\u201d He is repped by the Gotham Group and attorney Patti C. Felker.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
