Dan Bishop (R) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepDanBishop\/status\/1662650241110224897\">tweeted<\/a> a vomiting emoji to express his thoughts on the proposed deal, noting that RINOS, or Republicans in Name Only, were \u201ccongratulating [Speaker Kevin] McCarthy [(R-Calif.)] for getting almost zippo in exchange for $4T debt ceiling hike.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cActually, it\u2019s so bad they won\u2019t give a figure for the debt ceiling hike \u2026 only that it\u2019s suspended til Q1 2025. Our bill was a year less,\u201d Bishop added.  \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chiproytx\/status\/1662649930878427136\">tweeted<\/a>: \u201cI do not like the \u2018deal\u2019 as I understand it from the cheerleading so far\u2026 I will have more to follow once I see more details.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.), meanwhile, said that he is \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>alled\u00a0by the debt ceiling surrender\u201d McCarthy outlined Saturday evening. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bottom line is that the U.S. will have $35 trillion of debt in January, 2025. That is completely unacceptable,\u201d Buck <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepKenBuck\/status\/1662666420499664897\">tweeted<\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>President Biden and McCarthy announced that the two sides came to an agreement in principle late Saturday, and the release of the legislative text could come as early as Sunday. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned last week that without congressional action, the country could default on June 5, a deadline that McCarthy says Congress will meet. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p> McCarthy said he expects the House to hold a vote as soon as Wednesday, when the bill likely will face challenges from conservative GOP members. \u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The conservative House Freedom Caucus laid out its spending cap demands earlier this year, with the members saying they wanted to cap overall discretionary spending at fiscal 2022 levels for 10 years while allowing for 1 percent growth per year. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve got a serious proposal. We urge our colleagues on the Republican side and the Democrat side to come along. If you don\u2019t like what we\u2019ve offered \u2013 bless you, that\u2019s fine. What have you got to offer?\u201d Freedom Caucus Chairman\u00a0Scott Perry\u00a0(R-Pa.) said at the time. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Former President Trump at a CNN town hall earlier this month urged Republicans to allow the nation to default on its debt unless Biden agreed to \u201cmassive\u201d cuts.
