All I know is this. Everything I did was right,\u201d Trump said at a town hall event with Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> host Sean Hannity in Iowa.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Trump added that he abided by the Presidential Records Act \u201c100 percent.\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.archives.gov\/presidential-libraries\/laws\/1978-act.html#:~:text=The%20PRA%20changed%20the%20legal,the%20records%20of%20their%20Administrations.\">The act<\/a> details that presidents and vice presidents must retain official documents and turn them over to the National Archives for preservation.<\/p>\n<p>CNN first reported Wednesday that federal prosecutors have an audio recording of Trump speaking in the summer of 2021 about a classified Pentagon document he held onto even after leaving the White House. The document reportedly relates to a potential attack on Iran.<\/p>\n<p>The report could prove significant as Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith investigates whether Trump mishandled classified material after he left the White House in early 2021. Federal agents last August executed a search warrant on Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida after the former president refused to turn over classified material he had in his possession, as required under the Presidential Records Act.<\/p>\n<p>Trump on Thursday complained that the investigation was intended to hurt his chances of winning reelection in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you look at it, it\u2019s another, it\u2019s a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time. It\u2019s a hoax,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd it has to do more than anything else with trying to interfere with the election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also levied claims about President Biden\u2019s retention of classified materials after a few dozen documents from his time as vice president were found at his Delaware home and an old Washington, D.C., office.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>But the two cases have stark differences.
