She is married to a champion on a losing streak, played by Mike Faist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    To jolt him out of his slump, Tashi sets up a match against a washed-up player, Patrick (Josh O\u2019Connor). Not coincidentally, Patrick is her husband\u2019s former best friend and Tashi\u2019s ex-boyfriend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    \u201cI\u2019m playing for both of us, Tashi,\u201d Patrick tells Zendaya\u2019s character at one point in the trailer, leaving her to question to what lengths she will go to win as three players who knew one another as teenagers collide to show who comes out on top in later life.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"CHALLENGERS | Official Trailer\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MDnVk5jIJr0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Guadagnino also directed the cannibal drama\u00a0<em>Bones and All<\/em>, which starred Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet and Taylor Russell, and <em>Call Me by Your Name<\/em>, which starred Chalamet with Armie Hammer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    <em>The Euphoria <\/em>star also appeared in <em>Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/em> and <em>Dune<\/em>. O\u2019Connor won an Emmy for his portrayal of Prince Charles in Netflix\u2019s acclaimed drama\u00a0<em>The Crown<\/em>. And Faist generated buzz for his performance as Riff in Steven Spielberg\u2019s\u00a0<em>West Side Story<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    The tennis-themed <em>Challengers<\/em> is produced by Amy Pascal and her Pascal Pictures banner, as well as Guadagnino and Zendaya.
