Ron DeSantis, his leading GOP rival for the party\u2019s 2024 presidential nomination, over what he described as a lack of loyalty during an interview given to Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> this week. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got him elected,\u201d Trump told Fox News anchor Bret Baier during a wide-ranging conversation, the second portion of which the network aired on Tuesday. \u201cAnd I thought it was very disloyal when he said \u2018Yes, I\u2019d run.\u2019 I got him past two races.\u201d <\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Trump told Baier \u201cI\u2019m a big loyalist.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome people right here in this room tell me sir don\u2019t worry about loyalty, it doesn\u2019t mean anything in politics,\u201d Trump said, gesturing across the room at his New Jersey golf club. \u201cI said, to me it does. I got the guy elected.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Trump referenced DeSantis\u2019 2018 Florida GOP gubernatorial primary against Adam Putnam, saying he was \u201ctotally dead\u201d until the president endorsed him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe fought for me along with [Rep.] Jim Jordan and hundreds of other people in all fairness he was fine,\u201d Trump said of DeSantis\u2019 support. \u201cSo I said let\u2019s give it a shot. I endorsed him and it was like a bomb went off.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Trump also took credit for \u201cgetting [DeSantis] past\u201d Democrat\u00a0Andrew\u00a0Gillum in the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> election.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRon said there\u2019s no way I can beat him,\u201d Trump told Baier. \u201cI did three rallies, big massive rallies \u2026 he ended up winning. Three years later they asked him are you going to run against the president he said no comment. I said no comment means he\u2019s going to run.
