\n There was something slithering up above \u2026 down under.<\/p>\n

An Australian man was floored after two massive snakes \u2014 weighing a combined 100 pounds \u2014 crashed through his kitchen ceiling on Monday.<\/p>\n

David Tait, who lives in Laceys Creek in Queensland, came home to find a giant chunk of ceiling lying on his kitchen table.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew we hadn\u2019t had rain, so I looked around to find what had caused it,\u201d Tait told Nine Network television on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

He soon found the suspects slinking away \u2014 a pair of non-venomous carpet pythons, 9 feet and 8 feet long, in the bedroom and living room.<\/p>\n

Tait called in snake catcher Steven Brown, who said the two male pythons were likely warring with one another when the ceiling gave out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would assume that it was two males fighting over a female that was nearby in the roof,\u201d Brown said.<\/p>\n

Brown posted pictures of the monstrous reptiles on Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The males were returned to the wild, though Brown suspects the female could still be in Tait\u2019s ceiling or nearby.<\/p>\n

Brown told the \u201cToday\u201d show in Australia that the snakes were \u201csome of the biggest and fattest\u201d he\u2019d ever seen, the Evening Standard reported.<\/p>\n

Tait was equally shocked at the sheer size of the snakes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a lot of bush around here so you do see snakes, but I\u2019d never seen snakes of that size,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
