Other titles include <em>Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow <\/em>and <em>The Authority. <\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    According to Gunn, the film follows Corenswet\u2019s Clark Kent\/Superman as he learns to balance his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, thanks to parents Jonathan and Martha Kent in Smallville, Kansas. Corenswet will star alongside Rachel Brosnahan, who takes on the role of <em>Daily Planet <\/em>reporter Lois Lane. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    <em>Superman: Legacy <\/em>is set to hit theaters July 11, 2025, and begin filming in early 2024. The actor was born and raised in Philadelphia. His father worked as a stage actor for many years before joining his wife as a lawyer. As a child actor, Corenswet made appearances in numerous theater productions, including Arthur Miller\u2019s <em>All My Sons,<\/em> <em>Macbeth, La Vie En Bleu <\/em>and <em>The Forigivng Harvest. <\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"heading larva \/\/   lrv-a-font-accent-l   \"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_else_is_he_in\"><\/span>What else is he in?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Prior to <em>House of Cards, <\/em>Corenswet had parts in <em>Elementary, Affairs of State <\/em>and <em>Instinct<\/em>. In 2019, he landed a starring role in Ryan Murphy\u2019s <em>The Politician<\/em>, followed by another one in the showrunner\u2019s 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> <em>Hollywood<\/em>. The former tells the story of an over-calculating high school senior, Payton Hobart (Ben Platt), who has paved every step of his life so that it would lead him to one day be president of the United States. <em>Hollywood <\/em>is set in the aftermath of World War II in Los Angeles and tells the story of Corenswet\u2019s Jack Costello, who hopes to ride his good looks to superstardom, only to find himself working as a glorified gigolo at a gas station instead. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    The actor more recently had a recurring role on HBO\u2019s <em>We Own This City<\/em>, and he starred in Netflix\u2019s <em>Look<\/em> <em>Both Ways<\/em> and A24\u2019s <em>Pearl<\/em><em>. Superman: Legacy <\/em>marks Corenswet\u2019s first major foray into a big studio film. He was paired up with Emma Mackey, who was a strong contender for Lois Lane before the part eventually went to Brosnahan. Nicholas Hoult and Tom Brittney also auditioned for Kal-El. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    In a 2019 interview with <em>Entertainment Weekly<\/em>, he revealed he wanted to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/movies\/superman-david-corenswet-everything-to-know\/\">portray the iconic superhero<\/a> at some point in his career. \u201cMy pie-in-the-sky ambition is definitely to play Superman,\u201d Corenswet told the publication. \u201cI would love to see somebody do an upbeat, throwback [take on Superman].
