This achievement is a remarkable feat that only SEVENTEEN and BTS had attained.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stray Kids\u2019 comparison with BTS is understandable but also limiting for both groups<\/strong>. Stray Kids\u2019 journey towards their achievement is unique to themselves just as it is for the world-renowned K-pop artists. These achievements also came at a stage of their career where <strong>there is still plenty more that the group has to offer that makes them<\/strong> <strong>the first Stray Kids rather than the second BTS.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Journey_of_Stray_Kids\"><\/span><strong>The Journey of Stray Kids<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>The eight-member group<\/strong> (initially nine including Woojin who left the group in 2019) <strong>debuted in 2017 after winning an audition program<\/strong> organized by JYP Entertainment to formate the next-gen male Idol group. <strong>The group chose their name<\/strong>, Stray Kids, initially referring to lost children chasing their dreams, which later evolved into a group forming a way out of the ordinary.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The survival show premiered after the release of their first music video, \u2018<em>Hellevator<\/em>\u2018 which attained them success and invited them to perform on international stages.<\/li>\n<li>Felix and Lee Know returned to the final line-up after initial elimination in the audition program.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Following the digital single <em>Hellevator<\/em>, the group released their first EP,\u00a0<em>Mixtape, <\/em>on January 8, 2018, consisting of seven tracks, each co-written and co-produced by the members.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The album, with two music videos <em>Beaware <\/em>and\u00a0<em>Spread My Wings, <\/em>debuted at number two on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/circlechart.kr\/page_chart\/album.circle\">Gaon Album Chart<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/world-albums\/\">Billboard World Album Chart<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In the same year, they released EP <em>I Am Not, <\/em>with music videos of the title track <em>District 9, Grow Up,<\/em> and a performance video of <\/strong><em><strong>Mirror.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>The album sold over 54,000 physical copies in the month of its release and charted at number four on Gaon Album Chart.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They also performed at KCON Japan 2018, Grand Peace Place with their second EP <em>I Am Who,\u00a0<\/em>and at Olympic Hall with their third Ep, <em>I Am You. <\/em><strong>In 2019 they went on their Asia-Pacific tour and made their third comeback on the first anniversary with the fourth EP <\/strong><em><strong>Cl\u00e9 1: Miroh<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>which earned them their first music show win with the title track <em>Miroh. <\/em><\/li>\n<li>After this, they continued to release their new music and went on a world tour.<i><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Back_Door_Kingdom_The_Legendary_War_and_NOEASY\"><\/span><strong>Back Door, Kingdom: The Legendary War and NOEASY<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The group consistently attained achievements with each release. <strong>Their album <em>Go Live, <\/em>alongside the title track <em>God\u2019s Menu, <\/em>became their best-selling album.<\/strong> It also received a platinum certificate from the KMCA. <strong>Not long after that, the group released their chart-bursting single <em>Back Door, <\/em><\/strong>which\u00a0was recognized by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/5914984\/best-songs-2020\/\">TIME magazine in their Top 10 Songs of 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Later, <strong>they joined<em> Mnet\u2019s\u00a0Kingdom: The Legendary War <\/em><\/strong>alongside\u00a0ATEEZ, BTOB, iKON, THE BOYZ, as well as SF9.
