And repetition helps.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>It\u2019s too soon for legacy building (reelection is required). But persuasion takes time, and \u201cBidenomics,\u201d the president\u2019s most recent summation of his governing agenda, is meant to encapsulate long-term help for middle-class families, many of whom feel economically stressed and unsure about crediting Biden or about giving him a second term.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>\u201cWe\u2019ve got a record to run on,<\/em><\/strong><em>\u201d<\/em> Biden told campaign supporters Wednesday in Chicago. <em>\u201c<strong>And most importantly, we\u2019re not only changing the country, we\u2019re transforming the country.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>To embrace that idea \u2014 that Democrats\u2019 vision of change is positive and realistic amid daily turmoil and toxic headlines \u2014 Americans either need to experience it or be so fearful they won\u2019t see improvements, they decide to stick with the incumbent to \u201cfinish the job,\u201d as Biden puts it.<\/p>\n<p>Most Americans and many Democrats say they\u2019re pessimistic about the economy and about the job the president is doing. \u201c<em>The economy is a weak point for Biden within his own party, especially among young Democrats. Just 47 percent of Democrats under age 45 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>rove of his handling of the economy,\u201d <\/em>according to the latest<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apnorc.org\/projects\/the-public-still-has-negative-views-of-the-national-economy\/\"> AP-NORC poll<\/a> released Wednesday. Biden\u2019s overall job approval is 41 percent in the survey of adults, about where it was a month ago. His stewardship of the economy garners approval from 60 percent of Democrats, and from 10 percent of Republicans.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/biden-in-a-race-to-reverse-voters-pessimism-about-economy-3037b1f9?mod=e2tw\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a>: Biden is in a race to reverse voters\u2019 pessimism about the economy.<\/p>\n<p>The president and his surrogates are <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>ing the country early this summer to contrast GOP leadership with Democrats\u2019 agenda and a \u201crecord\u201d Biden says he\u2019s running on. He ribbed Sen. <strong>Tommy Tuberville<\/strong> (R-Ala.) Wednesday for<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenTuberville\/status\/1673662699018788870\"> celebrating federal broadband funding<\/a> that benefits his state, even though Tuberville voted against a bipartisan infrastructure measure in 2021 that made it possible (The Hill).<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cBidenomics,\u201d according to top administration officials, encompasses an economy that in effect could have been worse after the pandemic: The U.S. is not in recession; the labor market remains strong; job creation is measurable; and price inflation has eased somewhat.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI don\u2019t believe we need to see any very significant weakening of the labor market,\u201d<\/em> Treasury Secretary <strong>Janet Yellen<\/strong> told MSNBC Wednesday. <em>\u201cThere\u2019s a path for inflation to come down in the context of the strong labor market, and I think we\u2019re seeing that. We\u2019re on that path. When asked at a NewsNation town hall event by moderator <strong>Elizabeth Vargas<\/strong> whether he\u2019d pledge to support whoever wins the Democratic nomination, Kennedy, a long-shot candidate, said <em>\u201cof course I\u2019m not gonna do that.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSo if you don\u2019t get the nomination, you won\u2019t support President Biden?\u201d <\/em>Vargas asked.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI don\u2019t know what I\u2019ll do,\u201d<\/em> Kennedy said. <em>\u201cLet\u2019s see what happens in this campaign. Let\u2019s see what \u2014 if people are living up to democratic values and having debates and having discussions and, you know, talking to each other, but I\u2019m not going to bite.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kennedy, the son of former Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> <strong>Robert F. Kennedy<\/strong> and the nephew of former President <strong>John F. Kennedy<\/strong>, launched his primary bid in April. Biden has polled well ahead of his Democratic challengers, though some in the party have expressed concern about the rising profile of the controversial anti-vaccine activist. During the town hall, he claimed that vaccines are not <em>\u201csafety tested\u201d<\/em> and that the Food and Drug Administration is a <em>\u201ccorrupt federal agency\u201d<\/em> (The Hill and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newsnationnow.com\/politics\/2024-election\/rfk-jr-vaccine-claims-doctor\/\">NewsNation<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>When presented with FDA information about its testing regimen, Kennedy replied: <em>\u201cWhat I\u2019m saying is the FDA does lie.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>NewsNation and The Hill are both owned by Nexstar <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> Group.<\/p>\n<p>Despite chatter about Kennedy, Biden is holding a strong lead in New Hampshire over both his long-shot 2024 primary challengers \u2014 Kennedy and <strong>Marianne Williamson<\/strong>. The survey conducted by Saint Anselm College and released Tuesday found Biden has 68 percent support among Democratic primary voters in the early-voting state, well ahead of Kennedy, who is polling at 9 percent, and Williamson, at 8 percent (The Hill).<\/p>\n<p>\u25aa The Hill: RFK Jr. says US role in war <em>\u201cterrible for the Ukrainian people.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u25aa <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/06\/28\/us\/politics\/rfk-democrats-election.html\">The New York Times<\/a>: His family name, libertarian bent and support from the tech world, along with his views on censorship and vaccines, have given Kennedy a foothold in the 2024 contest.<\/p>\n<p>\u25aa The Hill: RFK Jr.: <em>\u201cI\u2019m proud that [former] <strong>President Trump<\/strong> likes me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The growing zeal among House Republicans to launch impeachment proceedings has hit an early snag, The Hill\u2019s Emily Brooks and Rebecca Beitsch report. There\u2019s no agreement on which member of the Biden administration to target.<\/p>\n<p>Speaker <strong>Kevin McCarthy<\/strong> (R-Calif.) this week threw his support behind a possible impeachment inquiry into Attorney General <strong>Merrick Garland<\/strong> \u2014 a stance that came just days after the GOP conference sparred internally over a resolution from Rep. <strong>Lauren Boebert<\/strong> (R-Colo.) to impeach Biden. The possible Biden impeachment came on the heels of an announcement from House Homeland Security Committee Chairman <strong>Mark Green<\/strong> (R-Tenn.) that the panel would kick off the formal investigation of Homeland Security Secretary <strong>Alejandro Mayorkas<\/strong> needed to proceed with an impeachment inquiry.<\/p>\n<p>In May and June alone, lawmakers introduced 11 different impeachment resolutions for top Biden officials, five of them sponsored by Rep. <strong>Marjorie Taylor Greene <\/strong>(R-Ga.). Aside from Biden, Garland and Mayorkas, Greene also has her sights on FBI Director <strong>Christopher Wray<\/strong> and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia <strong>Matthew Graves<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>But until recently, McCarthy had pumped the brakes on some of the conference\u2019s loudest impeachment cheerleaders. Some who backed the mutiny were dismayed at his decision to turn back before his fighters reached Moscow, while others were outraged at the apparent deal the Kremlin reached to end the crisis, which exiled Prigozhin to <strong>Belarus<\/strong>. While his fate and that of his fighters remains uncertain, there are signs that his hold has been weakened by the saga.
