\n In the trailer for the final season of HBO\u2019s How To with John Wilson<\/em>, the eponymous host of the comedy documentary series<\/a> preps his audience for a farewell.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n Wilson is signing off after this third season, and the trailer is crafted as an ode to television itself. \u201cHey, New York,\u201d Wilson begins in his typical greeting. He then goes on to describe what a rough day in the city looks like with the light at the end of the tunnel being TV. \u201cTV will always be there for you,\u201d he says. \u201cOn your proudest day. Or in your darkest hour. That glowing box will be there waiting for you.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n But Wilson also wants you to know that the solace will be short lived. \u201cAnd when you make it all the way to that final episode, don\u2019t be sad that it\u2019s over, just be glad that you felt anything at all,\u201d he says.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n His monologue, as usual, is accompanied by the gloriously strange images he captures, which include a pigeon with a noodle on its back, a man looking forlorn in a hot dog costume, and a cat with a tie.<\/p>\n

\n The logline for season three says the filmmaker and self-described \u201canxious New Yorker\u201d\u00a0continues his \u201cheartfelt mission of self-discovery, exploration, and observation as he films the lives of his fellow New Yorkers while attempting\u00a0to\u00a0give everyday advice on six new deceptively simple and wildly random\u00a0topics. Building upon season two, the episodes take unexpected turns, as\u00a0John\u00a0navigates a new set of\u00a0topics including;\u00a0how\u00a0to\u00a0find a public restroom,\u00a0how\u00a0to\u00a0work out, and\u00a0how\u00a0to\u00a0clean your ears.\u201d<\/p>\n
