\n Patrick Ewing, the former Knicks star and current Georgetown coach, was one of many big names to have contracted the novel coronavirus.<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t just have symptoms of the virus \u2014 he also suffered a blood clot as the result of it in May.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was rough,\u201d he told CNN. \u201cIn the hospital for five days. Fever. Body aches. I had a blood clot. It not only affects you physically, it affects you mentally.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ewing is doing better now, is symptom-free and said he is feeling fine. But it was a scary time for the 58-year-old Hall of Fame player.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to do the best job you can to stay safe and if you get it, do the best job that you can to not spread it. That was one of the things, once I found out, I self-quarantined. Once I couldn\u2019t handle it anymore I went to the hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe nurses and doctors at Georgetown [University] Hospital did an outstanding job of making sure I was safe and I was able to come through it.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
