Do you have any problem with the Republican Party nominating somebody who\u2019s under federal indictment?\u201d Wallace asked McDaniel on a recent episode of his \u201cWho\u2019s Talking to Chris Wallace?\u201d talk show on the network. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cI think the presumption of innocence stands. And I think there\u2019s a lot of Republicans who are very troubled,\u201d McDaniel responded. \u201cAt the end of the day, Chris, though, it\u2019s not up to me. It\u2019s up to the voters. They\u2019re going to make their decision. They\u2019re going to hear this and they\u2019re going to decide if this is an issue for them come November or come the primary process.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Wallace then asked, \u201cdo you have any problem with the Republican Party nominating a convicted felon?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s hypothetical,\u201d the party chairwoman said. \u201cWe\u2019re not even close to that.
