News<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cIt has also been legal for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017. Her record remains clear and she enjoyed the rest of her time on the island.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> has reached out to Hadid\u2019s rep for comment. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    According to local outlet\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/caymanmarlroad.com\/2023\/07\/17\/gigi-hadid-charged-with-drugs-offenses\/\"><em>Cayman Marl Road<\/em><\/a>, Hadid and a friend were arrested on July 10 at the Owen Roberts International Airport\u00a0on \u201csuspicion\u00a0of Importation of Ganja and Importation of Utensils used for the consumption of ganja\u201d after their bags were searched by officials while being processed through customs. The outlet reports that \u201cthe quantities were relatively small and were seemingly for personal consumption.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    They were both taken to the Prisoner Detention Center and eventually released on bail. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Hadid and her friend pleaded guilty during a July 12 court <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>earance and were fined $1,000 according to the outlet.
