{"id":584294,"date":"2023-07-25T22:28:51","date_gmt":"2023-07-25T19:28:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/white-house-condemns-fox-host-gutfelds-holocaust-comments\/"},"modified":"2023-07-25T22:28:51","modified_gmt":"2023-07-25T19:28:51","slug":"white-house-condemns-fox-host-gutfelds-holocaust-comments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/white-house-condemns-fox-host-gutfelds-holocaust-comments\/","title":{"rendered":"#White House condemns Fox host Gutfeld\u2019s Holocaust comments\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/gutfeldgreg_072822_invision-ap_cnn-gutfeld.jpg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The White House is blasting a popular Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> host for his commentary on the Holocaust this week. <\/p>\n<p>During an episode Monday of the network\u2019s top-watched table talk program \u201cThe Five,\u201d the panel discussed the state of Florida\u2019s new controversial standards for teaching Black history, which direct teachers to include instruction on \u201chow slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lied for their personal benefit.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>After a liberal member of the show\u2019s panel asked if the same standard could be applied to Jews who were captured and tortured during the Holocaust, Greg Gutfeld chimed in. <\/p>\n<p>The late-night host replied by referencing the book \u201cMan\u2019s Search for Meaning,\u201d written by a psychologist, Viktor Frankl, who survived a concentration camp. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrankl talks about how you had to survive in a concentration camp by having skills. You had to be useful,\u201d Gutfeld said on the show Monday. \u201cUtility. Utility kept you alive.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The White House on Tuesday issued a scathing rebuke of Gutfeld\u2019s remarks. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat Fox News allowed to be said on their air yesterday \u2014 and has so far failed to condemn \u2014 is an obscenity,\u201d spokesperson Andrew Bates said in a statement to The Hill. \u201cIn defending a horrid, dangerous, extreme lie that insults the memory of the millions of Americans who suffered from the evil of enslavement, a Fox News host told another horrid, dangerous and extreme lie that insults the memory of the millions of people who suffered from the evils of the Holocaust.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gutfeld is one of Fox\u2019s most recognizable hosts and was recently awarded a weeknight prime-time slot at 10 p.m. after his late-night conservative comedy program beat out the major networks in the nightly ratings race several months running. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Biden\u2019s White House and Fox News, the top-watched network on cable, have sparred on a number of occasions, including over the booking of an interview with the president before this year\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show that fell apart and some of the content about the Bidens\u2019 business dealings routinely aired on the network. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Copyright 2023 Nexstar <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> Inc.
