J. Michael Straczynski, the creator of the sci-fi <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>, recently revealed why the characters had not returned sooner.<\/p>\n<p>Starring Bruce Boxleitner, Claudia Christian, Peter Jurasik, Bill Mumy, Tracy Scoggins, and Patricia Tallman, the series follows the staff of a space station in the 23rd century. The series aired for five seasons and had five follow-up TV films.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-144468\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Straczynski said the following about the reason viewers haven\u2019t seen a new <em>Babylon 5<\/em> project before the new one, per <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/babylon-5-creator-says-a-single-warner-bros-executive-stopped-the-shows-comeback-for-close-to-20-years\">IGN<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThere was one person at the studio who hated all things <em>Babylon 5<\/em> and stood in the way of anything being done with the show, ever, for close to 20 years\u2026 Once that person finally retired, the floodgates opened.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t want to dwell on this because we\u2019ve moved on and this is a time for celebration. He said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThey called me. That\u2019s how the reimagining and the animated movie started. And everyone \u2014 *everyone* \u2014 at Warners who I\u2019ve dealt with since has been ridiculously supportive of the show, positive and welcoming.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A reboot of the sci-fi series has also gained some traction but is on hold until the WGA strike is resolved.
