Suarez<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>A crowded field of GOP White House contenders clamoring for the party\u2019s nomination are expected to gather in Milwaukee next month for the party\u2019s first presidential debate of the 2024 cycle.<\/p>\n<p>But before candidates can get on the Aug. 23 debate stage, they must first qualify by meeting several\u00a0requirements\u00a0set by the Republican National Committee (RNC).<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Candidates need at least 40,000 unique donors to their principal presidential campaign committee, including at least 200 from 20 or more states and territories each.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The presidential contenders also must be polling at 1 percent or higher in at least three authorized national polls \u2014 or at 1 percent or higher in two national polls together with one \u201cearly state poll\u201d from two separate \u201ccarve out\u201d states recognized by the RNC: Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"nlp-ignore-block article-content rich-text\">\n<div class=\"nlp-ignore-block article-content rich-text\">\n<aside class=\"promo-link\">\n        The Hill Elections 2024 coverage<br \/>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Perhaps the most contentious requirement is the RNC\u2019s ask that candidates sign a loyalty pledge to support whomever becomes the eventual Republican nominee.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here are the Republican candidates who <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" Sladky)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Former President Trump is set to meet the polling and donor requirements for the first GOP primary showdown, but whether he will take the stage is still up for debate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Trump has long polled as the Republican frontrunner of the 2024 race \u2014 and his campaign and his political action committee\u00a0pulled in\u00a0over $35 million in the second quarter of fundraising.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MorningConsult\/status\/1683802022385160196\">polled<\/a>\u00a0at 56, 55 and 59 percent in\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/07\/12\/anti-trump-presidential-candidates-poll-debates-00106000\">Morning Consult<\/a>\u00a0national polls this month, the latest taken last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But the former president has argued that his high\u00a0polling numbers\u00a0<strong>means<\/strong> he doesn\u2019t need to engage in the debate,\u00a0suggesting he could skip the showdown.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr3_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>He\u00a0threatened to skip debates\u00a0several times throughout his 2016 and 2020 bids for the Oval Office.<\/p>\n<p>A Trump adviser earlier this month\u00a0said\u00a0the former president hadn\u2019t yet made up his mind on whether to participate, but that it\u2019s \u201cunlikely\u201d he takes part in at least the first two Republican presidential primary debates.<\/p>\n<p>RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and several of Trump\u2019s GOP rivals are\u00a0among\u00a0those\u00a0pressing\u00a0for him to get on the stage next month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr4_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Trump has also been noncommittal about taking the candidate pledge. Ron DeSantis appears to have met the polling and donor requirements to get on the debate stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr5_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>DeSantis has regularly polled as the top GOP contender behind Trump, and has been the only candidate other than the former president to consistently snag double-digit polling numbers in national surveys, though recent figures have showed Trump with a widening\u00a0lead\u00a0as DeSantis\u2019s figures sag.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The three Morning Consult surveys taken this month put DeSantis between 16 and 20 percent, in second place behind Trump.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Florida governor\u2019s campaign also said it had already notched around 40,000 unique donors back in May,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/06\/03\/us\/politics\/desantis-big-donors.html\">according<\/a>\u00a0to the New York Times. Earlier this month, she\u00a0shrugged off\u00a0a Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> survey that showed her with 3 percent, and Trump in the lead with 56 percent, saying \u201cnational polls just don\u2019t matter right now\u201d in this early stage of the race.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MorningConsult\/status\/1683802022385160196\">polled<\/a>\u00a0at 4 percent in the latest two Morning Consult surveys of the GOP field. Fox Business polling from\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/static.foxbusiness.com\/foxbusiness.com\/content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Fox_July-15-19-2023_Iowa_R_Caucus_Topline_July-23-Release.pdf\">Iowa<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/static.foxbusiness.com\/foxbusiness.com\/content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Fox_July-15-19-2023_South-Carolina_R_Primary_Topline_July-23-Release.pdf\">South candidate pledge.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NikkiHaley\/status\/1672344160727183365\">said<\/a>\u00a0last month on X, the platform previously known as <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>, that it\u2019s \u201cabsolutely irresponsible that Trump, DeSantis, and others won\u2019t commit 100% to supporting the Republican nominee.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span donation criteria with more than 65,000 unique donors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The campaign has taken a unique approach to fundraising, offering\u00a0commission payments\u00a0to supporters who fundraise for his 2024 campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ramaswamy\u2019s team also said he crossed the polling threshold,\u00a0citing\u00a0two Morning Consult polls taken this month that placed his support at 8 percent, a Kaplan Strategies poll taken this month placing him at 12 percent and a Harvard\/Harris poll this month placing him at 10 percent.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A national poll\u00a0from Echelon Insights earlier Asa Hutchinson last month\u00a0promised\u00a0to meet \u201cwhatever is set\u201d as the criteria to get on the debate stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But Hutchinson has criticized some of the RNC\u2019s requirements, including the party loyalty pledge, saying the party should have only \u201cminimal criteria\u201d in the early stages of the presidential election cycle.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have always supported the party nominee, but I have never supported a party loyalty oath.
