\n On the one-year anniversary of Renaissance<\/em>, Beyonc\u00e9 brought the album\u2019s lyrics to life \u2014 especially \u201ccategory: bad bitch, I\u2019m th\u0435 bar\u201d \u2014 with a stunning performance proving why she\u2019s one of one, number one and the only one. Don\u2019t even waste your time trying to compete with her.<\/p>\n

\n The icon was energetic and vibrant during her three-hour show Saturday night, running through Renaissance<\/em> favorites like \u201cAlien Superstar\u201d and \u201cCuff It,\u201d as well as past hits and album cuts, like \u201cMy Power,\u201d where Blue Ivy earned a rousing app<\/a>lause as she joined her mother to perform extended choreography.<\/p>\n

\n Beyonc\u00e9 said as she entered her dressing room at MetLife Stadium, a photo of her sister Solange as a baby and her late uncle Johnny \u2014 who she dedicated Renaissance <\/em>to and references on \u201cHeated\u201d \u2014 were on display. \u201cAnd I just thank God for this night and this experience and my Uncle Johnny, and I thank God for all of you guys,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n Beyonc\u00e9 released her critically acclaimed album, a love letter to house music and the Black and gay pioneers of the genre, on July 29, 2022. It won four Grammys and helped the star become the most decorated artist in the history of the awards show.<\/p>\n

\n The audience in East Rutherford, New Jersey \u2014 the Renaissance World Tour<\/em>\u2019s closest stop to New York City \u2014 worked overtime to show support for the singer. They beautifully joined in to finish singing \u201cLove on Top\u201d as Beyonc\u00e9 watched in awe. When the singer sang \u201clook around, everybody on mute\u201d from \u201cEnergy,\u201d they paused in unison, and during \u201cHeated,\u201d they rapped the fiery 34-bar with as much passion as Beyonc\u00e9.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n \u201cDo y\u2019all know the words to \u2018Heated\u2019? We do this one together,\u201d she said. \u201cAre y\u2019all with me?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n They were. And their wardrobe spoke loudly too \u2014 from bright silver cowboy hats to metallic ensembles to fringed jackets. \u201cI\u2019m getting into these outfits! OK. Y\u2019all look so beautiful,\u201d Beyonc\u00e9 said. \u201cCan I get a little bit closer to you guys?\u201d She also dedicated \u201cPure\/Honey\u201d to \u201cthe famous, the world famous, Beehive.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n Beyonc\u00e9 worked the intricate stage like a pro as she performed hits like \u201cBreak My Soul,\u201d \u201cFormation,\u201d \u201cDiva,\u201d \u201cRun the World (Girls),\u201d \u201cSavage\u201d and \u201cCrazy in Love.\u201d Blue Ivy and Beyonc\u00e9 worked as a dynamic duo, wearing matching outfits and performing slick choreography during \u201cMy Power,\u201d even giving each other a cute fistbump. But Blue Ivy wasn\u2019t done yet \u2014 she led the procession of dancers down the aisle as Kendrick Lamar\u2019s \u201cAlright\u201d blasted in the background and then owned the stage with more dancing to \u201cBlack Parade\u201d while Beyonc\u00e9 sang lyrics like \u201cI can\u2019t forget my history is her story\u201d from the other side of the stage.<\/p>\n

\n The audience gave the 11-year-old a standing ovation, and she paused and took in the moment, also making a heart symbol with her hands and then honoring her father Jay-Z with his signature Roc hand symbol.<\/p>\n

\n After performing the Black Pride anthem, Beyonc\u00e9 stood still with her fist in the air and then showed love to her daughter. \u201cGive it up for Blue Ivy Carter,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n There were other shout-outs: Beyonc\u00e9 mentioned her mother Tina Knowles during the show and honored Tina Turner with a performance of \u201cRiver Deep \u2013 Mountain High.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Other highlights included Beyonc\u00e9 performing on top of a glittery horse that glided in the air and an epic ballroom dance break that left the audience gagging. Beyonc\u00e9 returned to the stage with words of compassion to attendees: \u201cI hope you feel seen. I hope you feel joy in your spirit \u2026 I hope you feel safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Beyonc\u00e9 kicked off the show with slow grooves from past albums, including \u201cDangerously In Love,\u201d \u201c1+1\u201d \u2014 infusing some of Rose Royce\u2019s \u201cI\u2019m Going Down\u201d \u2014 \u201cI Care\u201d and \u201cFlaws and All,\u201d where she pointed at her arms, waist and chin as she sang about imperfections.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI want to say thank you so much for supporting and riding with me for over 25 years,\u201d she told concertgoers. \u201cIt\u2019s not a day that I don\u2019t get on this stage and feel so much gratitude. I am so thankful. I\u2019m so, so, so thankful to still be able to do what I love. It\u2019s because of you and all of your loyalty.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
