In case you hadn\u2019t heard, we learned earlier Monday that\u00a0Angus Cloud<\/strong> had passed away at the unimaginably young age of 25. The Euphoria<\/em> star\u2019s family broke the news<\/a>, saying in a statement that Angus had died at their home in Oakland, California.<\/p>\n

They also mentioned he had \u201cintensely struggled\u201d with the loss of his father. TMZ<\/em> has since learned that after returning home from Ireland, where his dad was laid to rest, the actor was staying with his family to help deal with his grief. The statement didn\u2019t say how Angus died, but a source close to the family told the outlet he was battling suicidal thoughts ever since the funeral.<\/p>\n

In the latest update, it seems the Oakland Police and Fire Departments responded to a 911 call from the actor\u2019s mother at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. According to TMZ<\/em>\u2018s law enforcement sources, she told the operator her son didn\u2019t have a pulse. She also said she was calling about a \u201cpossible overdose.\u201d It\u2019s unclear why she would assume that \u2014 if there were drugs on the scene, for instance. In any case, it was all too late. Angus was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Euphoria<\/em> fans will know Angus played a drug dealer on the show. But he was adamant the\u00a0HBO<\/strong> hit did not glorify drug use, telling\u00a0TMZ<\/em>:<\/p>\n

\u201cDrugs ain\u2019t nothin\u2019 to play around with. It\u2019s not fun and game<\/a>s, it\u2019s serious business.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Whether Angus died by suicide, accidental overdose, or something else is unknown. What we do know is that we lost a distinct young voice in Hollywood \u2014 and that his heart was broken just beforehand.<\/p>\n
