\n An Antifa leader known as Commander Red was busted carrying a flamethrower to a Wisconsin Black Lives Matter rally \u2014 and \u201cdropped into the fetal position and began crying\u201d when stopped by cops, officials said.<\/p>\n

Matthew Banta, 23, is \u201cknown to be a violent Antifa member who incites violence in otherwise relatively peaceful protests,\u201d a criminal complaint into his Green Bay arrest insisted, according to WBAY.<\/p>\n

He was carrying stickers and a flag for the controversial group \u2014 whose name is short for \u201canti-fascist\u201d \u2014 along with \u201cmilitary-grade 5-minute\u201d smoke grenades, firework rockets, and a flamethrower, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette.<\/p>\n

Banta was stopped after being spotted with \u201ca whole bunch of white people with sticks, baseball bats and helmets\u201d heading toward a BLM event in Green Bay, police said in the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

The others fled when a cop blocked them with his squad car, but Banta was stopped and \u201cdropped into the fetal position and began crying,\u201d the police report said. He complained that the officer had laid on top of him, which police denied, WBAY said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s worrisome when people associated with Antifa come here to Green Bay from out of town \u2026 for the purposes of committing violent acts,\u201d Green Bay Police Chief Andrew Smith told the station.<\/p>\n

At the time of Saturday\u2019s arrest, Banta was out on a $10,000 cash bond after being accused of pointing a loaded gun at a police officer as well as biting and kicking a cop at a protest earlier this month, the report said.<\/p>\n

A condition of his bond was that he can\u2019t have a dangerous weapon, according to the Brown County district attorney\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old from Neenah, about 40 miles south of Green Bay, was charged with obstructing an officer and two counts of felony bail jumping after Saturday\u2019s arrest, the report said. He was released late Monday on $2,500 bond, court records show.<\/p>\n

He was one of 15 arrested at Saturday\u2019s Black Lives Matter protest that turned violent in the city and was deemed an unlawful assembly, police said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBurning buildings, hurting people, shooting, looting, vandalizing \u2014 there\u2019s absolutely no way that is a form of protest,\u201d police chief Smith told Fox 11 of his zero-tolerance stance.<\/p>\n
