{"id":586985,"date":"2023-08-14T16:31:57","date_gmt":"2023-08-14T13:31:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/trump-criticizes-judge-after-hes-warned-against-inflammatory-statements\/"},"modified":"2023-08-14T16:31:57","modified_gmt":"2023-08-14T13:31:57","slug":"trump-criticizes-judge-after-hes-warned-against-inflammatory-statements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/trump-criticizes-judge-after-hes-warned-against-inflammatory-statements\/","title":{"rendered":"#Trump criticizes judge after he\u2019s warned against \u2018inflammatory statements\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/trumpdonald_080823_ap_robertbukaty.jpg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former President Trump criticized the judge presiding over his 2020 election case, just days after she warned him against making any \u201cinflammatory statements\u201d that could intimidate witnesses or prejudice the jury pool.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a statement posted <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/110886261211345227\">overnight on Truth Social<\/a>, Trump called U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan \u201chighly partisan\u201d and \u201cvery biased &amp; unfair.\u201d <\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cShe obviously wants me behind bars,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>In <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/110886190866988611\">a separate post<\/a>, he pointed to a statement Chutkan reportedly made in sentencing a Jan. 6, 2021, rioter that, according to Trump, showed Chutkan\u2019s bias against him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI see the videotapes. I see the footage of the flags and the signs that people were carrying and the hats that they were wearing, and the garb. And the people who mobbed that Capitol were there in fealty, in loyalty, to one man, not to the Constitution, of which most of the people who come before me seem woefully ignorant; not to the ideals of this county, and not to the principles of democracy. It\u2019s a blind loyalty to one person who, by the way, remains free to this day,\u201d Trump wrote in all capital letters, quoting Chutkan.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, Chutkan\u00a0warned both sides\u00a0of the case to take \u201cspecial care\u201d to avoid making any statements that could intimidate witnesses or prejudice the jury pool, including, she said, making any ambiguous statements that could be interpreted that way. Chutkan said such remarks would compel her to speed up the trial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe more a party makes inflammatory statements about this case,\u201d Chutkan said at a hearing, \u201cthe greater the urgency will be that we proceed to trial quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI intend to ensure the orderly administration of justice in this case as I would with any other case,\u201d she said, later adding, \u201cI will take whatever measures are necessary to safeguard the integrity of these proceedings.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Trump, the front-runner in the 2024 GOP presidential primary race, has repeatedly attacked Chutkan since special counsel Jack Smith announced the former president would be indicted on four counts related to his efforts to stay in power after the 2020 election.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors are seeking a Jan. 2 trial date.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Copyright 2023 Nexstar <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> Inc.
