{"id":587162,"date":"2023-08-15T23:08:55","date_gmt":"2023-08-15T20:08:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/fulton-county-clerk-admits-to-accidentally-posting-sample-document-in-trump-case\/"},"modified":"2023-08-15T23:08:55","modified_gmt":"2023-08-15T20:08:55","slug":"fulton-county-clerk-admits-to-accidentally-posting-sample-document-in-trump-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/fulton-county-clerk-admits-to-accidentally-posting-sample-document-in-trump-case\/","title":{"rendered":"#Fulton County clerk admits to accidentally posting \u2018sample\u2019 document in Trump case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/AP23227045252151-e1692062513561.jpg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The office of the clerk for the Fulton County, Ga., court system admitted to accidentally posting a \u201csample working document\u201d related to former President Trump\u2019s indictment hours before the grand jury completed its work.<\/p>\n<p>The Tuesday statement came after the office blamed <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> outlets Monday for sharing what it called a \u201cfictitious document.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The docket sheet was first spotted and shared by Reuters, with reporters indicating Trump had been indicted.<\/p>\n<p>It was quickly removed, however, and the clerk\u2019s office later issued a statement saying it was a \u201cfictitious document that has been circulated online and reported by various media outlets.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The charges filed against Trump on Monday night, however, were exactly those first shared by the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>In a Tuesday statement, the clerk\u2019s office said it was running a test of the system \u201cin anticipation of issues that arise with entering a potentially large indictment,\u201d posting a \u201csample working document related to the former United States President, Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, the sample working document led to the docketing of what <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared to be an indictment, but which was, in fact, only a fictitious docket sheet,\u201d the office said in the statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause the media has access to documents before they are published, and while it may have appeared that something official had occurred because the document bore a case number and filing date, it did not include a signed \u2018true\u2019 or \u2018no\u2019 bill nor an official stamp with Clerk Alexander\u2019s name, thereby making the document unofficial and a test sample only.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Trump\u2019s attorneys Drew Findling and Jennifer Little pounced on the brief release of the document, suggesting in a statement that the Fulton County District Attorney\u2019s Office has \u201cno respect for the integrity of the grand jury process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was not a simple administrative mistake,\u201d they said. \u201cA proposed indictment should only be in the hands of the District Attorney\u2019s Office, yet it somehow made its way to the clerk\u2019s office and was assigned a case number and a judge before the grand jury even deliberated. This is emblematic of the pervasive and glaring constitutional violations which have plagued this case from its very inception.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The clerk\u2019s office Tuesday said it \u201cunderstands the confusion that this matter caused and the sensitivity of all court filings.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr3_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cWe remain committed to operating with an extreme level of efficiency, accuracy, and transparency,\u201d the office added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Copyright 2023 Nexstar Media Inc.
