\n After Charity Lawson handed out her final rose of The Bachelorette<\/em>, the ABC dating franchise revealed the star of its upcoming 28th season of The Bachelor<\/em>. <\/p>\n

\n Joey Graziadei, Lawson\u2019s runner-up from season 20 of The Bachelorette<\/em> that aired its finale Monday, will be the new Bachelor for the season that is set to premiere next year. Graziadei is a 28-year-old tennis pro from from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, who missed out on the final rose that Lawson gave to winner Dotun Olubeko.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI\u2019m definitely the hopeless romantic,\u201d Graziadei said in a promotional video<\/a> shared to the show\u2019s Instagram account. \u201cI want to be married. I want to have a love that lasts a lifetime. So I\u2019m really ready to go on this journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> following the taping of her \u201cMen Tell All\u201d special, Lawson praised Graziadei\u2019s character. \u201cJoey is just someone who is extremely sincere and just patient and really loving,\u201d she said. \u201cHe has a compassionate heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Regarding what made Olubeko stand out to her, Lawson told THR<\/em> at the time, \u201cWhen I am with Dotun, you see just this undeniable chemistry. It almost seems like it\u2019s just something that is meant to be. For me, in this whole journey, the way that they both were just extremely intentional, and I never felt like I had to question why they were there, is huge. I was rest assured with Dotun and Joey that I didn\u2019t have to worry about that at all, and so I was able to continue growing our connections.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n \u201cIt\u2019s as simple as she\u2019s the love of my life,\u201d Shallcross told THR<\/em> after his finale aired. \u201cWe\u2019ve met each other on a TV show, but it\u2019s so much more than that. We both truly want this to work and know it will work, and it\u2019s a feeling I\u2019ve never had.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
