\n Seattle cops uncovered spike strips, weapons and dozens of makeshift shields in the Capitol Hill neighborhood during a park cleanup, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The dangerous tools were discovered inside a tent Tuesday at Cal Anderson Park, which had been occupied by protesters throughout the month of August, the Capitol Hill Seattle Blog reported.<\/p>\n

While parks workers were cleaning up trash, they came across what app<\/a>eared to be weapons, police said.<\/p>\n

Officers obtained a search warrant for the tent and recovered a machete, hatchet, homemade spike strips, an unexploded mortar, and multiple makeshift shields, authorities said.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made in the case, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.<\/p>\n

The park is located in the same district where demonstrators set up the Capitol Hill Organized Protest or \u201cCHOP\u201d zone before the city cleared it in early July.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
