{"id":588767,"date":"2023-08-27T15:00:11","date_gmt":"2023-08-27T12:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/dj-muggs-taps-ghostface-killah-scarface-for-new-soul-assassins-lp\/"},"modified":"2023-08-27T15:00:11","modified_gmt":"2023-08-27T12:00:11","slug":"dj-muggs-taps-ghostface-killah-scarface-for-new-soul-assassins-lp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/dj-muggs-taps-ghostface-killah-scarface-for-new-soul-assassins-lp\/","title":{"rendered":"#DJ Muggs Taps Ghostface Killah &#038; Scarface For New \u2018Soul Assassins\u2019 LP"},"content":{"rendered":"<div itemprop=\"articleBody\">DJ Muggs has connected with Ghostface Killah, Scarface and a number of other high-profile artists for his first <em>Soul Assassins<\/em> album in 14 years.<\/p>\n<p>The Cypress Hill producer announced on Friday (August 25) that <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sym.ffm.to\/deathvalley\"><em>Soul Assassins 3: Death Valley <\/em><\/a>is now available to purchase and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">download<\/a>.\u00a0The album itself has a slew of features from other top-tier lyricists including Freddie Gibbs, Westside Gunn, Ice Cube, Method Man, Slick Rick and Boldy James, to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know you cannot escape death, but immortality can be attained,\u201d DJ Muggs said in a statement about his latest offering.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the album, DJ Muggs also released <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FmG_9et-D-o\">the trailer to his movie for <em>Soul Assassins 3: Death Valley<\/em><\/a> which was filmed in Death Valley, California. The movie will be released on September 13.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: Soul Assassins 3: Death Valley\" style=\"border-radius:12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/album\/2mdiBHkwcyU6EBnhLtStoD?si=GfIPffC5R6GIxNg6xg3CnQ&amp;utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>The Soul Assassins: Chapter I<\/em>\u00a0was released in March 1997 with features from\u00a0Dr. Dre,\u00a0Goodie Mob, RZA, GZA, Mobb Deep, KRS-One, MC Eiht, B-Real, Wyclef Jean, Infamous Mobb and others, with the project peaking at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 chart.<\/p>\n<p>The sequel,\u00a0<em>Soul Assassins II,<\/em> dropped in October 2000 with another stellar guest list including Kool G Rap, Xzibit, Kurupt, Dilated Peoples, GZA and Ras Kass. The last Soul Assassins project, \u00a0<i>Intermission<\/i>, arrived in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Back in May 2022, DJ Muggs linked up with Method Man\u00a0and\u00a0Slick Rick for a collaboration called \u201cMetropolis,\u201d which is on <em>Soul Assassins 3: Death Valley.<\/em> The track itself kicks off with a verse from the Wu-Tang Clan MC, before Rick the Ruler takes over.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFirst they said I was overrated, illegal motion, I had no motive or motivation,\u201d<\/em> Method Man raps on the song. <em>\u201cBut F the world, this is fornication\/ Just keep that energy, I\u2019m a magic coordination.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the track,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cd7_37Jjyia\/\">DJ Muggs said<\/a>: \u201cThis shit is live now world wide on your muthafucken PHONES an Computers featuring my homies Method Man an The Grand Wizard Slick Rick \u2013 This the fist single from the new <em>Soul Assassins 3<\/em> Album- jump in the wip an bump this shit \u2013 SA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DJ Muggs\u2019 longtime affiliation with Wu-Tang Clan members also includes the GZA collaborative album\u00a0<em>Grandmasters<\/em> in 2005, which also features Raekwon and Masta Killa. Speaking to <em><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.complex.com\/music\/2013\/02\/dj-muggs-tells-all-the-stories-behind-his-classic-records-part-2\/\">Complex<\/a><\/em>\u00a0in 2013, Muggs discussed working with Method Man on \u201cBulworth (They Talk About It While We Live It)\u201d from the 1998 movie soundtrack of the same name.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cBulworth<\/em>\u00a0approached me to do something for the soundtrack, and they wanted a posse cut,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd they were like, \u2018Who do you want?\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Why? I can get anybody?\u2019 At the time, we were getting $100,000 for a song. The budgets were ridiculous. So I was like, \u2018Prodigy I\u2019m feeling. KRS-One for sure. And Method Man.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cProdigy wasn\u2019t in the studio, so I sent the reel to him. Method Man and KRS-One recorded the same day in New York. KRS ripped it. Then Method Man came in and sat down and did his vocals.
