{"id":588957,"date":"2023-08-29T00:37:48","date_gmt":"2023-08-28T21:37:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/musk-tech-ceos-to-attend-schumers-ai-senate-forum\/"},"modified":"2023-08-29T00:37:48","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T21:37:48","slug":"musk-tech-ceos-to-attend-schumers-ai-senate-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/musk-tech-ceos-to-attend-schumers-ai-senate-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"#Musk, tech CEOs to attend Schumer\u2019s AI Senate forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/schumerchuck_072623gn04_w.jpg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The top executives at tech companies, including the world\u2019s richest man Elon Musk, are among the confirmed guests at Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer\u2019s (D-N.Y.) first scheduled \u201cInsight Forum\u201d about artificial intelligence (AI), the senator\u2019s office said Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The AI Insight Forum, scheduled for Sept. 13, will also include Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google parent company Alphabet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>In addition to the executives, others from \u201cworker, advocacy, civil rights, and creative groups,\u201d will join as guests, according to Schumer\u2019s office.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The event will be closed to the press, but there will be a readout following its conclusion, based on the announcement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> about the scheduled guests was first <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/pro\/tech-policy\/2023\/08\/28\/scoop-schumer-to-host-musk-zuckerberg-for-ai-forum\">reported by Axios<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The forum is part of Schumer\u2019s plan to weigh regulation of the booming AI industry, which lawmakers have been racing to better understand since OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT tool burst into popularity after its November release.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Schumer announced plans for the forum in June, along with a framework for AI regulation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The forum also comes as Congress has been holding hearings about the benefits and challenges posed by AI.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared at a hearing with the Senate Judiciary Committee in May.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Schumer said in June that the plan for the forum will supplement the work already underway regarding AI regulation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the forum, Schumer has convened AI briefings with senators as part of the plan to regulate the risks and understand the potential of the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Copyright 2023 Nexstar <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> Inc.
