But when I heard \u2018Go DJ,\u2019 I was like, \u2018This is the next biggest artist, period.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told Andre Harrell, and he was like, \u2018You think so?\u2019\u201d Thicke continued. \u201cI was like, \u2018Trust me, Dre, this is the one.\u2019 So, coincidentally, he just reached out to me. The first song on my debut album<em> A Beautiful World<\/em> \u2013 which it\u2019s the 20th anniversary of \u2014 he heard this song called <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=A4GfLmVEDzA\">\u2018Oh Shooter\u2019<\/a> on my debut album. He just hit me up out of nowhere and was like, \u2018Yo, I love this record. Can you send me the tracks? Do you mind if I do something with it?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From there, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5ibeIqOv1ww\">the reworked version <\/a>\u2014 featured on<em> Tha Carter II<\/em> and Thicke\u2019s <em>The Evolution of Robin Thicke<\/em> \u2014 was born.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first time that Lil Wayne ever did <em>The Tonight Show<\/em> \u2013 and the first time I ever did <em>The Tonight Show<\/em> \u2013 we did it together,\u201d he added. \u201cThe first time either one of us performed at the Grammys, we performed together.
