{"id":591140,"date":"2023-09-14T14:34:40","date_gmt":"2023-09-14T11:34:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/pelosi-on-whether-harris-is-best-running-mate-for-biden-he-thinks-so\/"},"modified":"2023-09-14T14:34:40","modified_gmt":"2023-09-14T11:34:40","slug":"pelosi-on-whether-harris-is-best-running-mate-for-biden-he-thinks-so","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/pelosi-on-whether-harris-is-best-running-mate-for-biden-he-thinks-so\/","title":{"rendered":"#Pelosi on whether Harris is best running mate for Biden: \u2018He thinks so\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/09\/AP22356029406651-e1694690843766.jpg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday said \u201che thinks so,\u201d when asked whether she thought Vice President Kamala Harris was the best running mate for President Biden in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview on CNN\u2019s \u201cAnderson Cooper 360,\u201d Pelosi praised the vice president as \u201cpolitically astute,\u201d but deflected when pressed on whether she was the best running mate for Biden.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cHe thinks so, and that\u2019s what matters,\u201d she said when first asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd, by the way,\u201d Pelosi continued, not stopping when Cooper asked whether she also thought so, \u201cShe\u2019s very politically astute. I don\u2019t think people give her enough credit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s, of course, values-based, consistent with the president\u2019s values and the rest,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi praised her fellow California Democrat\u2019s ability to make her case to voters about why she is the right candidate for a given position, saying, \u201cPeople shouldn\u2019t underestimate what Kamala Harris brings to the table.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople don\u2019t understand. She\u2019s politically astute. Why would she be vice president if she were not?\u201d she continued. \u201cBut when she was running for attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> in California, she had 6 percent in the polls \u2013 6 percent in the polls. And she politically astutely made her case about why she would be good, did her politics, and became attorney general.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi, who still represents California\u2019s  also noted that the job of vice president is often a thankless job that is intended to support the country, and Pelosi said Harris has done that job well.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s the vice president of the United States,\u201d Pelosi said when asked again whether Harris is the best running mate for Biden. \u201cPeople say to me, \u2018Well, why isn\u2019t she doing this or that?\u2019 I say, \u2018Because she\u2019s the vice president.\u2019 That\u2019s the job de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion. You don\u2019t do that much. You know, you, you\u2019re a source of strength, inspiration, intellectual resource.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think she\u2019s represented our country very well at home and abroad,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Pelosi, who stepped down from leadership at the end of last year, continues to represent the 11th District of California in the House. Her comments on Harris come just under a week since\u00a0she announcedher own 2024 reelection bid.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr3_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cI think nothing less is at stake than our democracy in this election,\u201d Pelosi said in the interview with CNN. \u201cYou hear that in the country. You hear that globally.
