Lando<\/em> is not headed to Disney+ as a series<\/a> after all. Disney and Lucasfilm have changed their plans, and the project will now be a feature film. Donald Glover starred in the Solo: A Star Wars Story<\/em> movie as a younger version of Billy Dee Williams\u2019 character from the Star Wars<\/em> films.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, it was revealed that Donald and Stephen Glover were taking over the writing duties for the series. Per Variety<\/a>, in a recent app<\/a>earance, Stephen teased that the project was headed to the big screen instead.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cIt\u2019s not even a show\u2026the idea right now is to do a movie. Right now, because of the strike, it\u2019s kind of like telephone, all of the information.\u201d Lucasfilm later confirmed that Lando will now be a feature film. <\/p>\n

Donald Glover spoke about returning to the character in an interview earlier this year. He said the following:<\/p>\n

\u201cLando is charm incarnate. He\u2019s kind of a maverick, which I don\u2019t think there\u2019s a lot of anymore. It\u2019s hard to be the smooth talker nowadays. Where\u2019s the line? That\u2019s also where the danger is. How close can you get without trip<\/a>ping over it?\u201d<\/p>\n

I would love to play Lando again. It\u2019s a fun time, being him. It just has to be the right way to do it. Time is precious. The past couple of years, this pandemic sh*t, it really had people experience time\u2026 People realize their time is valuable. You only get so much. I\u2019m not interested in doing anything that\u2019s going to be a waste of my time or just a paycheck. I\u2019d much rather spend time with people that I enjoy. It just has to be the right thing, and I think it could be. Lando is definitely somebody I like to hang out with.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
