\n Kenneth Petty, the husband of Nicki Minaj, has been ordered to serve 120 days of home detention after violating the terms of his probation by posting clips on social media<\/a> that app<\/a>eared to threaten the rapper Offset.<\/p>\n

\n In a court order filed Wednesday in the Central District of California, Petty was ordered to undertake home monitoring after he \u201cwas recorded on video making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.\u201d The specific individual mentioned in the order is Offset, and the clips relate to a series<\/a> of messages Petty aimed at the rapper that appeared on social media on Sept. 16.<\/p>\n

\n Petty was sentenced to three years probation in July 2022 after pleading guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California in 2020. In 1995, Petty was convicted for the first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl and spent four years in prison in New York. <\/p>\n

\n In the video clip that went viral on social media on Sept. 16, Petty and some of his entourage are seen outside a New York City hotel, purportedly where Offset was residing. In the clip, among various threatening comments, Petty says, \u201cPlan that vacation, you gonna be planning your funeral pussy!.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n In a video posted to Offset\u2019s social media, the rapper brushed off the threats. \u201cI\u2019m getting off a jet, he\u2019s funny,\u201d Offset said, and implied that Petty was broke.<\/p>\n

\n Offset, formerly a member of the Atlanta rap group Migos is the husband of rapper Cardi B. Minaj and Cardi B have had a long-running feud and both were involved in a fight at the Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/em> Icons party during New York Fashion Week in September 2018. Video circulating on social media at the time showed Cardi B lunging toward Minaj and attacking her.<\/p>\n
