{"id":592111,"date":"2023-09-21T19:44:11","date_gmt":"2023-09-21T16:44:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/rbg-collar-fails-to-sell-at-auction-still-available-for-purchase\/"},"modified":"2023-09-21T19:44:11","modified_gmt":"2023-09-21T16:44:11","slug":"rbg-collar-fails-to-sell-at-auction-still-available-for-purchase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/rbg-collar-fails-to-sell-at-auction-still-available-for-purchase\/","title":{"rendered":"#RBG collar fails to sell at auction, still available for purchase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/07\/Closer-Ginsburg_091820_AP_J.-Scott-Applewhite.jpg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>One of Ruth Bader Ginsburg\u2019s most famous collars is still up for grabs after it failed to sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars at auction.<\/p>\n<p>The late Supreme Court justice\u2019s collar, known as \u201cThe Pegasus,\u201d\u00a0was described as\u00a0one of Ginsburg\u2019s favorite signature pieces.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>While bidding Thursday had reached\u00a0upward of $195,000, a representative from the auction house told ITK that the collar \u201cdid not make the reserve, so it didn\u2019t sell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe the collar is significant and placed a high estimate on it based on provenance,\u201d a spokeswoman from the Potomack Company said of the limited-edition silver metallic bib by Stella &amp; Dot. The collar had been expected to sell for between $200,000 and $400,000.<\/p>\n<p>Ginsburg, who died in 2020 at age 87, sported the collar in her 2018 official Supreme Court photo.
