Louisiana was the 18th state to enter the union and the 31st largest state. With a population of about 4 650 000, it is the 25th most populous state. The celebrations in New Orleans usually attract people from all over the world because of their unique identity.<\/p>\n<p>Mardi Gras means \u201cFat Friday\u201d in French and marks the beginning of the Lent season for Christians. They prepare floats, costumes, and throws that are used in the parade. The tradition involves throwing beads and other trinkets to the crowd.
