Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) on Saturday joined dozens of Republicans in voting against legislation to keep the government funded, criticizing the legislation\u00a0for\u00a0failing to include aid for Ukraine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Quigley was the only Democrat to vote against the measure, which passed in a 335-91 vote.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>He called\u00a0out Republicans who voted against funding for Ukraine earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Republican Party has become the party of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>easers, pro-Putin folks,\u201d Quigley said. \u201cToday our folks were forced into a decision and no one wanted to make, have Americans suffer or do what we did today, which was to abandon Ukraine.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe gotta fix this in 45 days because right now, Putin is celebrating,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lawmakers have until midnight to pass legislation to keep the government funded or risk their first government shutdown\u00a0in over four years on Sunday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>House Republicans rolled out the new bill on Saturday morning,\u00a0after an earlier\u00a0and\u00a0more partisan plan that included steep spending cuts and border security measures failed to garner sufficient support in the conference\u00a0on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The new plan, which Republicans argued\u00a0was\u00a0the \u201cclean\u201d bill Democrats wanted, would keep the government funded at current levels, while including billions of dollars for disaster relief \u2014 in line with a previous request by the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Republicans who voted against the plan are upset about an extension to spending levels last hashed out when Democrats held control of both chambers.<\/p>\n<p>But others also saw the move as a way to put attention back on Democrats, who have called for a \u201cclean\u201d bill with Ukraine and disaster aid, as GOP divisions over spending have dominated much attention on Capitol Hill in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause now the shutdown would be their fault if they don\u2019t go for it, because this was the clean CR,\u201d Rep.
