Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) said Sunday he thinks House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) is \u201cin trouble\u201d after Congress averted a government shutdown by <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roving a \u201cclean\u201d stopgap measure brough to the House floor in a suprise move by the Speaker.<\/p>\n<p>The measure won more support from Democrats in the House than Republicans, but McCarthy said it was a gamble that was worth it to avoid a shutdown. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) has vowed to bring a motion to the floor this week that would seek to unseat McCarthy as Speaker in response.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cI think he [McCarthy] is in trouble,\u201d Donalds told \u201cFox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> Sunday\u201d anchor Shannon Bream. \u201cPart of that is because there has to be some level of strong leadership in our chamber. I\u2019m just going to be totally blunt, there are a lot of trust issues in my chamber right now, where people feel on both sides of our conference that everybody is not going to hold hands and continue to do this work together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pointing to the House\u2019s largely bipartisan 335-91 vote on the deal, Donalds stressed it took more Democratic votes and resembled the debt deal vote earlier this year, where Republicans called McCarthy\u2019s compromise with the White House a capitulation to President Biden. <\/p>\n<p>The bipartisan measure on Saturday came after McCarthy\u2019s failed attempts to get a handful of hardline conservatives to support a GOP-only stopgap bill. This forced the Speaker to bring a \u201cclean\u201d bill to the floor to prevent a shutdown. <\/p>\n<p>The measure did not include conservatives\u2019 demands for spending cuts or border policy changes. It also didn\u2019t include aid for Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if he would vote against the Speaker in a motion to vacate, Donalds said, \u201cFrankly, I don\u2019t know right now.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve got to really think about that, because there\u2019s a lot of stuff going on in that building that\u2019s behind us.
