High Potential<\/em> is not coming to ABC this season after all. The network has pushed back the premiere of the new detective drama to Fall 2024, per THR<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Starring Kaitlin Olson, Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Amirah J, Matthew Lamb, and Judy Reyes, High Potential<\/em> follows a single mom (Olson) who has an exceptional mind that allows her to solve crimes using unconventional methods. She partners with a by-the-book seasoned detective (Sunjata).<\/p>\n

Inspired by the French series<\/a> Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI)<\/em>, this new series was created by Drew Goddard.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

ABC has decided to delay the series, the network\u2019s only pickup from the pilot season in May, to next season due to the recent WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Though the writers strike has now ended, the delays caused by the dual strikes have necessitated the shuffling of the broadcast networks\u2019 schedules.<\/p>\n

A 2024 premiere date for High Potential<\/em> will be announced later.<\/p>\n
