\n Russell Brand is now being investigated by two police forces in the U.K. following the allegations of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse against the actor and comedia<\/a>n that were revealed in a\u00a0joint investigation by\u00a0Channel 4, The Sunday Times<\/em> and The Times<\/em>. <\/p>\n

\n On Monday, Thames Valley Police said a woman contacted the force two weeks ago with \u201cnew information\u201d in relation to reports of \u201charassment and stalking,\u201d according to the BBC<\/a>, which added that the woman had reported her allegations the same police force numerous times between 2018 and 2022 but no further action was taken.<\/p>\n

\n The news<\/a> comes following the London\u2019s Metropolitan Police previously confirming that it was launching a probe into \u201cnon-recent\u201d incidents, saying that it had received a \u201cnumber of allegations of sexual offences.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Brand has previously vehemently denied \u201cvery serious criminal allegations,\u201d using a video post to describe the accusations as \u201cextremely egregious and aggressive attacks\u201d that he said he \u201cabsolutely refutes\u201d.<\/p>\n

\n Following the expose into Brand, which aired on Sep. 16, the BBC, Channel 4 and Banijay UK, which employed Brand at various stages of his career and during the period where the allegations are said to have occurred, have each launched their own internal investigations. Channel 4 and the BBC also removed certain content featuring Brand from their streaming platforms, while a 2009 stand-up special of his was removed from Paramount+.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
