Jen Kiggans (R-Va.) said her seat could be at risk amid chaos in the Republican Party over who should become the next Speaker of the House.<\/p>\n<p>CNN correspondent Manu Raju asked Kiggans, a rare Republican representing a district that voted for President Biden in 2020, whether she was concerned the GOP \u201cdysfunction\u201d put her seat in jeopardy. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cI am,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mkraju\/status\/1712566684626682227?s=20\">she said<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s, again, work to be done here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIsrael\u2019s at war,\u201d Kiggans added. \u201cI\u2019m concerned about the military; I\u2019m concerned about people from my district who we\u2019ve sent in harm\u2019s way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While House Republicans elected Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) as their nominee for the Speakership Wednesday in 113-99 vote, he doesn\u2019t have an easy path to holding the gavel, with the list of Republicans opposed to his Speaker bid growing over the past two days. <\/p>\n<p>House Republicans left a closed-door meeting Thursday afternoon saying there are no plans for a floor vote, but that Scalise will meet with the lawmakers withholding their support.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) said Thursday he doesn\u2019t think the House will have a new Speaker in place this week, echoing Kiggans\u2019s comments about \u201cwork to be done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s very emotional. I think there was, there\u2019s complaints about the process yesterday, \u2018We shouldn\u2019t have adjourned. We should have argued in there,\u2019\u201d Crenshaw said.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s like, we\u2019re arguing now, I mean, get over it,\u201d he added. \u201cYour constituents don\u2019t care about whether we left the room or not, right? They care about the border and issues that matter.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rep.
