{"id":594181,"date":"2023-10-13T18:07:44","date_gmt":"2023-10-13T15:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/jpmorgan-ceo-this-may-be-the-most-dangerous-time-the-world-has-seen-in-decades\/"},"modified":"2023-10-13T18:07:44","modified_gmt":"2023-10-13T15:07:44","slug":"jpmorgan-ceo-this-may-be-the-most-dangerous-time-the-world-has-seen-in-decades","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/jpmorgan-ceo-this-may-be-the-most-dangerous-time-the-world-has-seen-in-decades\/","title":{"rendered":"#JPMorgan CEO: \u2018This may be the most dangerous time the world has seen in decades\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/05\/AP22265528786352-e1683736631938.jpg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>JPMorgan reported solid third quarter profits Friday, but CEO Jamie Dimon warned that the world is experiencing its \u201cmost dangerous time\u201d in recent decades.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis may be the most dangerous time the world has seen in decades,\u201d Dimon <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpmorganchase.com\/content\/dam\/jpmc\/jpmorgan-chase-and-co\/investor-relations\/documents\/quarterly-earnings\/2023\/3rd-quarter\/fa584ba1-9ee9-4b87-8ac4-eb9be0e9744b.pdf\">wrote<\/a> in a statement. \u201cWhile we hope for the best, we prepare the Firm for a broad range of outcomes so we can consistently deliver for clients no matter the environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Dimon pointed to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the recent attack on Israel, saying they \u201cmay have far-reaching impacts on energy and food markets, global trade, and geopolitical relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dimon said U.S. consumers and businesses are <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>ly healthy, but the government\u2019s large fiscal deficits and \u201cextremely high\u201d debt levels increased the risk that inflation remain high in the near future.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>JPMorgan reported a net income of $13.2 billion, $4.33 per share. That levels marks an increase from the third quarter net income for fiscal year 2022 of $9.7 billion, $3.12 per share.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dimon acknowledged that the increase was boosted by \u201cover-earning on both net interest income and below normal credit costs,\u201d adding that both \u201cwill normalize over time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dimon\u2019s comments come as Congress <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roaches a government shutdown deadline on Nov. 17.
