\n ITV Studios-owned Italian production company Cattleya is joining forces with Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalena Ravagli, Italian writers whose credits include such cross-over TV series<\/a> as Gomorrah<\/em>, ZeroZeroZero<\/em> and Django<\/em> to launch Dedalus, a new production company which will develop drama projects for the big and small screens. <\/p>\n

\n Dedalus has two projects far along in the pipeline: Everything We Ever Wanted<\/em>, a theatrical feature about love and friendship set against the world of the 1970s Neopolitan mafia, which Francesca Comencini (Django<\/em>) will direct; and Erba<\/em>, a TV series inspired by a horrific crime \u2014 the brutal murders of a family of four by their seemingly-ordinary middle-aged neighbors \u2014 that shocked Italy in December 2006. <\/p>\n

\n \u201cOver the years we have formed a special bond with Leonardo and Maddalena, based on a unique way of working together which actively involves them at every stage of our shared projects,\u201d said Cattleya founder Riccardo Tozzi, who announced the launch of the new company at international TV market MIPCOM in Cannes on Monday. \u201cThat\u2019s why starting a new company together is the natural continuation of this journey that has resulted in the creation of new and original ways to tell stories.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n Fasoli and Ravagli said over their long-term collaboration with Cattleya, the company has \u201callowed us to be thoroughly involved in our projects, starting with the writing process and continuing throughout
shooting.\u00a0 This has quite organically led to a new vehicle for our shared storytelling
and through which we aim to set off in new directions, with the same fun and passion
that have distinguished all that we have done together.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
